Bald Head Revisited

Bald Head Revisited: Last year when I made my way down to Bald Head Island, NC for the first time I was recently unemployed, had no money, girlfriend, and lived with 3 other dudes in Arlington. A lot has changed in one year - now I only live with 2 other dudes in Arlington.

This year was a great time though. It marked the first time down for Lauren and Tara, as well as a chance for me to come up with some new blog ideas. My top 6 list from BHI 2006:

6. The Cummins living room turning into Club Glow after 2 bottles of wine and about 74 Mixed Drinks.
5. Me yakking on the shoulder of 95 somewhere in NC.
4. A bonafide dinner at the Shoals Club featuring my first experience with Chilean Sea Bass.
3. A tree climbing expedition at 633 Kinakeet.
2. Cummins attempting to drive us back from Shoals without the aid of Golf Cart 1's headlights.
1. Video footage of Lauren using a Yeungling bottle as a mic to sing B.B.D.'s "Poison" with Tara.

Can't wait for next year - it's gonna be special.

In other news, I headed over to Play last night over in Midtown with Liam and Vic, and for the 2nd time in approximately a year I recognize Cleveland Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejo out on the town. Last time was at Five after a the Cavs played the Wizards. I'm not really sure why he would be in DC now, but it's hard to be incognito when you're a 6'10 inch Brazilian with Side Show Bob hair. Anyway, I gave him the fist pound as he made his way across the dance floor - you know, just some mutual respect between 2 world class athletes.
