Came across these rankings from Money Magazine today and it made me feel lucky to live in the Nation's Capital. Not only does Arlington rank high on this list, but DC ranks in the top 15 in the country in this highly important category. So not only are there plenty of single women to go around in the DC area, but the icing on the cake is that most of them are in good shape as well. Get better.

Tonight is the unofficial start of the Woodbridge 2006 Fantasty Football Challenge. This will be Year 6 for our storied league, with things getting underway via conference call at 8 PM for the annual Draft Lottery. I was fortunate enough to win the Lottery last year and elected to choose #1 overall. With that pick I drafted LaDanian Tomlinson and the 20 TDs that came along with him. Based on my past performances Vegas (aka Finney) has me as 2 to 1 favorites to win the title and I'm hoping to live up to those lofty expectations.

Side note: I always enjoy trying to relate what's going on in my life currently to what I was doing on that date say, a year ago, 5 years ago, etc... first because I think its cool to reminisce, and second, to reflect on what sort of progress (or lack thereof) I've made over that time period, how my thinking has changed, or what my focus was back then. Well, a year ago, on the evening of our WB2K5 Draft Lottery, I was working at Urban Outfitters in Georgetown and had just finished up something like an 8-6 shift. Afterwards, I went with 2 of my co-workers to Paulo's on Wisconsin for a few drinks, one of whom was kind of a prototype girl that I was into. So I guess my focus on that particular night was on if the two of us could possibly get hopped up enough to play a game that I believe Vince Vaughn likes to call, 'Just the Tip.' And it was looking pretty good until around 10:00...when her boyfriend came and picked her up. Total domination.

Anyway, tonight might not be that exciting to look back on when the WB2K7 Draft Lottery date is upon us. To be determined.
